FALL 2025 ILLUMINATIONS
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As autumn settles in and the air turns crisp, we’re reminded that every season brings moments of renewal and new beginnings. This fall, Lutheran Braille Workers is entering a new chapter filled with gratitude, hope, and continued purpose — all centered on sharing the light of Christ through His Word.
In this edition of Illuminations, you’ll meet people whose lives have been forever changed by the gift of God’s Word in accessible formats. You’ll hear the joyful testimony of a woman who, after years of vision loss, held her large print Bible once again and wept with gratitude. You’ll meet our new president, Rev. Dr. Robert Hartwell, whose heart for ministry and passion for accessibility are helping lead LBW into a new season of growth and service. And you’ll catch glimpses of how volunteers, congregations, and partners across the country are putting their faith into action — sharing God’s love one page, one book, and one life at a time.
As you read these stories, we hope you’ll feel the same warmth and encouragement that fills our hearts each day at LBW. The world around us may change, but God’s Word remains constant — lighting paths, restoring hope, and strengthening faith in every season.
So pour a cup of coffee, settle into your favorite chair, and take a few moments to reflect on all that God is doing through this ministry. Because of your prayers, generosity, and faithful partnership, people who are blind or visually impaired are opening the Bible today and discovering again that the light of Christ never dims.
With heartfelt thanks and joy,
The LBW Team
